Was taken to A&E for injury following a road accident on Tuesday 28 March ,.Damage to my neck vertebra was suspected and I was wearing a neck brace fitted by the ambulance paramedic.the neck brace was very uncomfortable but the nurse in attendance very wisely advised me to keep still, in case I caused damage to the spinal chord.
Shortly afterwards I was seen by a particular consultant who promptly organised X-ray and C..T scan. She came back quickly with the results and re-assured me that
I was only badly bruised. I was also assessed by a physiotherapist.
I was then transferred to a quiet room in the C.D.U.
to be discharged the following morning.
when my wife came to collect me a kind person found the Red Cross volunteers to take us home .
I know that all
A & E departments are under funded and over stretched but I cannot fault my treatment in any way and I would like to offer my warmest thanks to everybody concerned.
