"Poor care"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Orthopaedics (Wards 10a, 10b, 10c &10d)

(as a parent/guardian),

Currently have a disabled family member who has learning disabilities who is under the care of orthopaedic team at QEUH

The communication is very very poor

& some members of the multidisciplinary team have even admitted that they will not be doing anymore care with my relative.

Also because my relative is under 50years old they are not willing to give my relative what I believe is the best chance at rehabilitation & despite us asking to speak to senior staff we have been ignored.

Despite us trying to assist staff and raising our concerns multiple times. They are continuing to treat my relative this way.

This made us concerned and upset to see our family member treated this way.

Dear PTO2

I am very sorry to hear about your relative's experience with the Orthopaedic Department and the lack of communication. I have shared your story with the Senior Management Team and we would like to look into the issues you have raised. As this is a public website would you mind contacting me at Nicole.McInally@ggc.scot.nhs.uk with your relative’s details?

Thank you

Nicole
