"A Change of Midwife"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as a service user),

I was Informed at my last midwife appointment that the service was changing and the midwife I had seen may not be the same one going forward. I would like to stay with the same midwife I’ve seen at both my previous antenatal appointments. Hopefully this is an option.

Dear First time mum 123

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Exciting times ahead for you!

We have had a few postings from anxious mums- to- be about the changes that are happening. These changes should make every pregnancy journey a special one, with all mums-to-be having a midwife who knows them well. It is great to hear that you are already developing a good relationship with your Midwife.

As postings are anonymous I would ask that you speak to your Midwife at your next appointment. Once you have chatted, she will speak to the Midwifery Team Leader about the possibility of supporting your on–going care with her.

I am also happy to be contacted on gailbell@nhs.net.

With best wishes

Gail
