"Arrived with open head wound and injury left..."

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham / Accident and emergency

I was in accident where a glass was dropped at height on my head on a night out. I have no recollection of speaking to anyone or even being triaged at the hospital. If it weren't for my friends staying with me all night monitoring that I was ok and breathing, I hate to think what might have happened had I been alone. I have a blood clotting problem which wasn't discussed (my friends weren't aware of it) and I was too dazed to have bought it up. 6 hours to have dried blood rubbed out of a painful wound with no pain relief. Head glued and sent home with a leaflet. NHS might be doing their hardest but 6 hours for head injury is astounding
