"Unable to get an answer by phone"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Radiology (X-rays and Scans)

(as the patient),

I have been trying for days now to book an appointment with the x-ray department. The line is continually busy and there is no ability to leave a message or ask for a call back. This service is appalling and lets the NHS down as it would appear there is no one who cares about people trying to book appointment for illness they are probably stressed about already. There needs to be an urgent solution applied to this situation as I am reading complaints from other patients who like me are becoming frustrated by the lack of consideration given by SM.

I am sorry to read of the problems you have experienced in trying to book your appointment with the X-Ray Department.

I appreciate that getting through on to us on the telephone can be a challenging and frustrating experience. if you are still experiencing difficulties with contacting our X-Ray team I would be very grateful if you could contact the Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) on 01296 316042 as they can help make a link between the X-Ray department and yourself cutting down the amount of calls you have to make. In the meantime I will share your comments with the X-ray Team.
