I was taken to Royal London after being hit by a car Friday night, I was taken by ambulance around midnight and discharged around 10.30 the next morning. I was in the injuries unit, I had a head injury and bad bruising, I had blood all over my head and my hair was too matted to put in staples, one of the nurses assisted me and washed my hair for me and looked after me, I cannot remember her name it was around 9.30am in the injuries unit .
She was very kind and helpful to me and I really feel she went above to help me and made me feel comfortable and at ease in what was one of the scariest nights I’ve ever had, she particularly did an amazing job and will make an amazing nurse, I am so grateful. All the staff were very helpful in the trauma unit and made me feel comfortable at a time where I was terrified and anxious, working in the NHS myself I understand that it can be a difficult job at times, and I saw myself on Friday night/Saturday morning how hard it can be for these doctors and nurses. It made me so grateful that we are lucky enough to have the NHS after the kindness and treatment I received by everyone at the hospital.
"Helpful staff - particularly one of the nurses"
