I'm a absolutely furious about the way I have just been treated by the nursing staff! I underwent invasive spinal surgery 6 days ago and visit the practice today to have my dressing changed and get a presentation for pain. The dressing is awful, uncomfortable and pealing off before I'd even left the pactice. And as for pain relief, was refused and told to buy over the counter pain killers. So I asked reception if I could see gp to discuss getting a presentation for the medication I was prescribed by the hospital, there where no GPS avaliable so someone would call me and arrange the prescription over the phone. I then received a telephone call from another nurse stating that my surgery was a while ago and I shouldn't need pain relief! WOW! She then went onto rudely quiz me about how many tablets I'm taking in a day and the dosage. After this she still refused to prescribed me adequate pain relief by halving the dosage and giving me enough for 2 days!!! How dare they assume / label me as a drug addict! I am outraged at how I have been treated 6 days after having major spinal surgery.
"Outraged!"
