I’m writing this review on behalf of my VERY poorly grandfather.
My grandpa is 94 years of age with severe medical problems which include:
Burst war drum (when was done by the nurses when syringing his ear wax)
Going blind - he needs injections in his eyes to prevent this from happening but due to his burst ear drum and numerous infections as a result, he’s been refused.
Crumbling spine
Loss of circulation in his feet - either due to diabetes or blood infection (consultant suspects)
Kidney failure
Ulcerated foot
I could go on...
One particular doctor today has refused a home visit as he said that as my grandpa was able to get to hospital (with the assistance of 3 people helping him) he no longer qualifies for the home visit register! When speaking to my mom over the phone was prepared to issue antibiotics having not seen the patient and going from a report over a month old!
Does this qualify as a GP who has the patients best interest? I think not!!!
They also send out letters requesting he attends a blood pressure check, medicine review etc - this was when he WAS on the house bound register! No care or consideration.
"Never use!!! Change GP now!!"
