"Service received following an accident"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire University Hospital Hairmyres / Trauma & Orthopaedics (Wards 1 & 5)

(as a service user),

I fell off a ladder and fell 7 feet onto my bottom / back   onto a concrete slab. Fortunately I, after a couple of minutes was able to get up, albeit in pain. I made an appointment with my GP who sent me for an x-Ray at Hairmers hospital the following day, the following week my G P called to say that there might be an issue with my pelvis, she had contacted Hairmyers orthopaedics who said I could come in for a scan immediately. Precisely 90 minutes large I had been driven to hospital, had my scan, driven home and received a phone call from the ortapedics doctor advising me that she had checked the scan and I had nothing to worry about. I cannot thank the combined effort from medical services Gp to Hospital staff- simply superb responses

Dear Paulmac

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experiences with us.

I am pleased to hear that your scans were checked promptly and you didn't have long to wait to hear that there was nothing to worry about.

I hope that you have made or are on the way to making a full recovery.

Kind regards,

Laura Hamilton
