"Ophthalmology above and beyond"

I visited samuel johnson hospital appointment for my routine check up today 07.03.19. With the eye consultant. During my examination I was found to have a torn retina in my good eye. I was understandably devastated. My consultant said she wanted it dealt with urgently as could become dangerous. Burton hospital had no laser clinics on that day so the consultant had a room set up and completed the laser treatment necessary herself within 3 hours of my appointment..I feel she went above and beyond to ensure my safety and reducing my risk of a more major procedure or even blindness. So from myself and my very concerned family thank you very much. Also the nursing staff and Secretary at samuel johnson hospital for their help and support.
