"Booking-in maternity appointment issue"

About: Leighton Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I miscarried at 13 weeks last year, it was a long awaited and very much wanted pregnancy so I have struggled since, and have self-referred for counselling (which I've been waiting 4 months for). I am now happily pregnant again, but when I went for my booking-in appointment, my previous pregnancy hadn't been closed down on the system. It took quite a while to sort out and was a bit upsetting seeing all the details of my lost pregnancy on the screen. The midwife was wonderful and very apologetic, but it would have been nice just to focus on my current pregnancy instead of going through all the details of the miscarriage again so that they could close it down.
