"Over 24 hour wait in A&E"

About: Manor Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My mum attended walsall manor via ambulance to be sent to urgent care, we sat in urgent care for 3 hours to be send back to A&E to sit and wait again at 12.30 they said mum was being taken to a ward.

The next day at 10am mum was still sat in A&E with no pillows, no blanket, no one had given her breakfast. It's disgusting and all the staff can say - we are busy. Seems like busy chinwagging 😡

Dear Natty

I am sorry to learn of your mothers poor experience and if this account is correct then the support provided during the wait for a hospital bed is not to the standards we aspire to deliver.

If you or your mother would like to contact us we are willing to look into what happened on this occasion further.

Contact can be made via pateintrelations@walsallhealthcare.nhs.uk or telephone 01922 656463

Regards Garry
