Arrived recently, still in said ward. The floor near the beds is black, the walls are filthy. I had someone else's blood on the bed they put me in. The porter came the next day, put a broom around the centre of the room and left. I pointed out how disgusting everything is and the nurses agreed and said they would contact the correct department. No one came so one of the lively nurses got out cleaning things and tried to do their best. Still black floors and all the equipment thick with grime.
Today a cleaner arrived, used dry cloths to run around the edges of items doing seemingly absolutely nothing to clean them. Didn't see one cleaning product. Just now another cleaner came to the ward in the evening, stood talking to people with a mop in hand. After 10 minutes of this, they used a disgusting blackened cloth to wipe over the window sills, 2 of 3 anyway then use the mop under my bed for less than a second. The floors look filthy, the walls look filthy all the units look filthy. I arrived with multiple drug resistant septicaemia, dread to think what I'll pick up while here.
