In October 2018 I was admitted to Cheltenham Hospital with severe chest pains.
In A & E I was given live saving treatment as my lungs had filled with fluid causing heart failure.
After I left the ICU I was transferred to the CCU cardiology ward. I was there for 5-6 weeks awaiting a heart valve repair and CABG at Bristol.
During this time the staff were brilliant. From the Doctors to the nurses, and the cleaners and porters. I could have not wished for better care and treatment.
Today I popped in to the ward and I was delighted to see some of the nurses who looked after me. They were like old friends. I was really happy to see they remembered me and I got a lot of hugs. Well done Cheltenham you have a wonderful Hospital and excellent staff. Mind you I hope I don't have to come back any time soon.
