I went To A&E department at 10am Saturday 23rd February with something stuck in my throat. I was seen within 10 minutes checked by a nurse bloods taken blood pressure and other checks. Then seen the doctor who gave me a relaxing drug hoping this may free the blockage, when this didn’t work I was x-rayed where they could see a blockage in my gullet.
The Doctor rang Aintree Hospital ENT Department as Southport ENT is closed at the weekend, they said to go there by ambulance for them to remove the obstruction, which they did.
I would like to thank all the A&E staff who were there on Saturday morning for the courteous and professional way I was treated.
