I had a serious eye infection whilst working away - I managed to get an urgent appointment with GP on the day who immediately referred me to hospital eye clinic with a letter. At the eye clinic I was quickly seen by a nurse and then the specialist doctor. After a thorough examination I was prescribed antibiotics that I could collect from the in-clinic pharmacy and start to take. The care was excellent.
The doctor told me what to do if things got worse over the weekend - and booked me in for a follow up appointment after the weekend with the same doctor to check how things were. This was very reassuring. The doctor was able to tell me things without me needing to ask- I wasn't able to think straight. (Sometimes we have to second guess the right questions to ask)
"Excellent care"
