My daughter was admitted to Ward 75 in August 2017, and was there until November 2017 apart from a couple of short discharges.
I wanted to record that I found the commitment and skill of the staff to be first class, particularly in supporting the medical side of my daughter's diagnosis, which is anorexia.
I felt there was a high level of knowledge from general nursing staff on how to support the condition, and real sense of teamwork, not just from the nursing staff but from the cleaners, housekeepers, support workers, and all the staff on the ward.
They made a very traumatic few months more bearable. The genuine care and personal support shown to my daughter from as well as the clinical care was excellent.
The ward team were let down by the administrative functions - poor quality facilities in the parents room eg. hot water breaking down all the time, archaic technology that didn't always function effectively, very poor food for patients, and having to get involved in unnecessary matters such as parking forms which should be dealt with elsewhere.
Thanks to all the staff on 75 for their hard work, these shortcomings don't change the fantastic service they give.
