My husband was in AE 2 days ago after a Syncope attack. Discharged home the same night. Need to see the GP to discuss further action re. Does he need a referral back to Northern General for further cardiac assessment. Telephoned for an appointment with a doctor to discuss the situation,none available for 6 weeks. Managed to get one with a different doctor in 4weeks time.
This is an appalling way to deal with patients. Told to ring at 8 am tomorrow if he requires one earlier than 4weeks.What I can't understand is appointments are available on the day so why are we not able to book a few days in advance.
