I was taken to Forth Valley Hospital in the early hours one day last week with a suspected heart attack and to say that I was impressed with the level of service would be a massive understatement. From the initial contact with the ambulance staff to the daily contact with the housekeeping staff, I was very happy with the level of genuine care that was shown to ensure that if there was anything to make my situation more bearable then all I had to do was ask. The level of enthusiasm shown by all the nurses whilst under the minute by minute pressure of saving lives in cardiology was amazing. I occasionally felt myself feeling sorry for myself and soon was inspired by these amazing people to lift my spirit and get on with my recovery. Thanks to Michelle, Alex, Grace, Jan, Roberta, Zoe, Ameera, Annie, Rachel (AAU) Catherine (Consultant) and all who made my experience bearable to the extent that in a strange way was enjoyable if having a heart attack could be. Apologies to anyone who I've not named this does not mean you contributed any less to this great team but only I'm getting old and my memory can only retain a limited amount of info.
