I was referred to the Breast Clinic by my GP following the discovery of a lump. I was, as you can imagine, terrified. The staff at Guys were the most caring and patient people. They treated me with such care and empathy. They answered all my questions and made me feel at ease.
I was taken to get a needle biopsy. The staff were similarly caring and empathetic, explaining the procedure step by step. My results thankfully came back as a fibroadenoma. The doctor walked me through my various options and I decided to go for a operation.
On the day of the operation. I was again, terrified. The nursing staff were beyond caring. The anaesthetic staff were fantastic. The surgeon and his surgeon asssitant were fantastic. My post op care was phenomenal and I was seen on Christmas Eve for a potential heamotoma.
I cannot praise all the staff enough! This was my first NHS hospital experience and I would recommend Guys a million times over. THANK YOU!!
