"The care I received was top notch"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Borders General Hospital / General Surgery (Ward 7)

(as a service user),

I was taken in as an emergency 4 days prior to my booked surgery for my gall bladder removal. The care I received was top notch. My surgeon Mr Pal was attentive and informative, the nursing staff excellent as were the support staff. The ward is spotless clean and nothing is a problem for any of the staff even though they never stop.

This is our NHS at its best and I cant thank them enough.

7 days on from my surgery and I am well on the road to recovery with minimal scarring and little in the way of after effects.

100% to all concerned THANK YOU ALL...

Dear Incomer

I glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery after your surgery. It really matters to us that you have taken the time to let us know that your experience during your stay with us was positive. The whole team from your surgeon to support staff and the really busy nurses! work together to make sure that you feel well looked after.

I am really proud of our support services and how hard they work to keep our wards clean and a pleasant environment to recover in.

Be assured I will share this with the teams.
