Tried to book an appointment the previous evening, 08:01:18 to see a doctor the following morning first thing. (I work full time). Told to visit the surgery early next morning before 08:30 hours.
Arrived at 08:06 hours formed a Que of 4. The first lady who was with her husband was using a mobile, it transpired she was ringing the surgery reception.
She was ecstatic she had a live line commenting to us she had tried with her husband to ring about 20/30 time the previous evening.
She spoke to reception to find a suitable time for appointment and was given a time for 16:30 hours that afternoon. She asked if there were morning appointments and was told they had been taken.
The doors opened to the reception desk at 08:15 hours. I again joined the que behind the other 3 people. Eventually seeing the receptionist.
I explained my problem was wast told about a time slot at 16:30 hours.
I explained my problem and i worked full time.
I was told to go to A&E as the best alternative. It appears that any morning appointments go to anyone who can ring in as phones have a priority over a personal visit.
In the end i went to the drop in at Selly Oak, saw a superb helpful Doctor within 1 hour and managed to get to work for 11:00 hours.
