"Appointment booking"

About: General practices in Lothian

(as a service user),

Harbours Medical Practice.

Routine appointments can only be booked 2 weeks in advance, at 8.30am. I have tried 3 days in a row to get an appointment and still haven’t been able to. I am now going to have to phone for an on the day emergency appointment just to be seen. The system for booking should be changed to allow for routine appointments to be booked for the same week.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding the appointments process at Harbours Medical Practice and I was sorry to read of your difficulties.

The majority of GP practices across NHS Lothian are independent and if you feel able you should contact the Practice Manager directly.

I have shared your feedback with the Practice and I do hope that you were able to get your appointment to see the GP.
