About: Wathwood Hospital

(as the patient),

No med keys in handover!

"half time"

Why not half hour lunch for staff plus 2 15 minute tea breaks.

Least restrictive practise. Don't force your beliefs on me → mediation voluntary.

Why should staff smoke and have Saturday sandwich when we can't.

Thank you for your posting, thanks also for your concern for staff. Please be assured that staff do get breaks off the ward in line with NHS agenda for change, if not they do raise the issue and unions also ensure the staff are protected.

Regarding staff smoking and eating. This is somthing they are entitled to do on their breaks however they should be entering the ward smelling of smoke or talking about this infront of patients. We apprecaite this is very frustrating for patients unable to smoke and eat what they want.

Regarding Vaping this is an ongoing issue nationally that is being discussed however as yet there are no plans to trail this.

Hope this helps and please feel free to raise these issues again in the patients forum or again on care opinion. thanks again for your posting.

Phil
