I recently gave birth at my local midwife led unit in Lochgilphead, Argyll. From my initial booking appoIntment through to my post-natal care I received the highest level of care and support.
My named midwife, Karen, saw me for the majority of my appointments and ultimately delivered my baby. Having this continuity of care was extremely comforting and I felt I could go to her with any questions and concerns.
My labour was everything I hoped it would be and this was largely down to skill, care and professionalism of the midwives on duty that day - Karen and Nicky.
The aftercare was also of an extremely high standard. In the days following the birth I had difficulty feeding my baby. Again, Karen and Nicky went above and beyond to offer both practical assistance and emotional support at what was as extremely trying time.
The midwives in Lochgilphead deserve to be commended for exceptional service they provide to the community.
