"Overloaded telephone number"

About: Adult community health services / Podiatry

(as a service user),

I have been trying for over a couple of weeks to get through on the central number given to book an appointment for podiatry treatment. it does not matter what time of the day or which day I call, it's impossible to get through. I cannot spend long periods hanging on the phone  as I work. How does anyone make an appointment?

Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch with us to share your difficulties getting in touch with our Podiatry service and I am really sorry that this has caused you upset and frustration and that this is having a detrimental impact on your working day.

We are really aware of the challenges trying to access our booking lines at present and completely agree that this is not good enough - as such, the service manager has been working hard to source additional support for the booking office team and has also asked for support from our IT colleagues with regards to the many reported concerns about the telephone queue system.

I hope you will be reassured that we are taking these issues seriously and are determined to ensure we have an efficient booking system back in place very soon. In the meantime, please do get in touch with our PALS team on 01278 432022 if you would like to chat this through further.
