"Care during my little girls operation"

My 9 year old girl was admitted through the Day Surgery Unit at University Hospital Crosshouse today. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in her care, who were amazing with her and me. My daughter got extremely upset and anxious whilst getting the anaesthetic and the procedure was put on hold while they calmed her down. The Anaesthetic Nurses and Dr Leemreis were all fantastic and very patient with her. She was put into a ward and given medicine to calm her down before attempting the procedure again. Fiona who worked at the Paediatric Ward at Day Surgery Unit looked after her while in the ward and was amazing and really reassuring to myself and my daughter. I can’t thank her enough! My daughter got her operation and Miss Short was fantastic and came straight out and explained what happened and to expect after the operation. Today was very traumatic for both my daughter and I but the staff in Theatre 8/Day Surgery were excellent. Thank you so much!
