I was extremely nervous when I was admitted for major elective shoulder surgery in December 2018. From when I was first seen seen and my pre-op assessment to my discharge the anaesthetists could not have been more helpful. Matters were complaint other medication and two anaesthetists took the time to call me and discuss matters as well as giving me a lot of time at the pre-op assessment.
On the day of surgery everyone involved in my care in theatre and afterwards, as well as the anaesthetists who were involved in ongoing pain relief were so incredibly kind and reassuring to me. Special thanks to Anne, who did her very best to calm and reassure me as I was prepared to go into theatre, and also to Jon for his attention in administering pain relief after surgery. I would also like to thank each and every one involved in getting me through that day and the subsequent few days. The attention, reassurance and comfort was second to none.
