I've been trying to find the phone number of my eye consultant's private secretary.
On phoning the hospital today (OK a Sunday, but I did expect that someone would be on reception) the message service said "there's no-one here to take your call and the post box is full" so I couldn't speak to another human being or leave a message.
Not very helpful to a patient getting anxious about potential damage to her eyes.

Thank you for getting in touch. Unfortunately there are only the nurses here on duty on a Sunday and they may not be able to take calls. I understand your frustration at not being able to speak to someone and we shall review our weekend protocol to ensure that a message can always be left by a caller and responded to if urgent.
