"nothing but praise for the way I was treated"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Cardiology

(as a service user),

I went to Ayr Hospital A& E on Christmas Eve with chest pains and feeling unwell.   The receptionist was very efficient and friendly. The department was busy but I was called almost immediately and given an ECG and checked by the nurse. I was then taken through to assessment area where I was given two further ECG one of which gave cause for concern. Everything kicked in and was dealt with not only efficiently but with kindness.   I was then admitted to cardiac unit and looked after very well there also. On Christmas morning I was told all my tests were clear and I could go home.   Whilst it was a scarey experience I have nothing but praise for the way I was treated from start to finish.

Dear HappyAyr

Thank you for your lovely post on Care Opinion.

It must have been a scary experience for you and I am pleased that our teams were able to offer you reassurance.

I am pleased that your results came back clear and that you were able to return home for Christmas.

I will pass on your thanks to all the staff and I know this will give them a real boost.

Kind regards
