The service user described a good pregnancy with great midwives. Mum was [X} days overdue so came in to be induced. Unfortunately the cord was wrapped around the baby's neck. Staff acted super quickly and she had an emergency C section. Mum was discharged after three days which she felt was too quick. The Community Midwife in took the dressing off the C Section scar two days after her being discharged. The service user did not think the scar looked good. She was seen on the Day Assessment Unit and given oral antibiotics and discharged. The scar still didn't heal so the she was re-admitted and is on Wheal Fortune (postnatal) for further treatment (antibiotics and special dressing) and is hoping to go home today. The couple feel that she was sent home quicker than she should have been and the discharge on both occasions missed quite a lot.
