I have never been to an A&E department but had to visit at the end of October as I had a fall and dislocated my shoulder.
I was in great pain and was seen very quickly and Gavin the specialist managed to relocate my shoulder. Unfortunately, I had also broken my proximal humerus so had to be admitted for surgery.
I cannot praise the care highly enough, from tea ladies to surgeons, all were kind , caring and very professional The hospital was spotless and the attention to cleanliness by all the staff was exemplary.
I was on Ward 212 under the care of nurse Megan, although she was very busy, she made me feel much less anxious.
My surgeon Prof Johnson has done a remarkable job on my shoulder and the after care by Mr Mitchell is excellent.
All in all an excellent hospital!
