I had an extended stay in ward 215 (vascular) following a below the knee amputation. The staff there are exceptional, from the nurses, student nurses and doctors to the health care assistants and cleaners. They are all so friendly and eager to help. The standard of care I received there was second to none. I have complete trust in them and I was sad to leave! I must also extend some praise to Ish the OT. Seeing his friendly smile and positive nature every day contributed to my recovery.
The only down side to my experience was my interaction with a porter who took me down to physio. They were very forceful in nature, didn't listen and actually made me cry. Karen the physio is a lovely lady to work with. The physio area is a very long way from ward 215.
"Ward 215 are fabulous!"
