I wouldn’t recommend this surgery.

I have taken my toddler there on advice of 111 with a bang to the head, the dr in question didn’t even look up from their desk and announced “he’ll be fine my sons had worse” when we entered the room.

Another medical person proceeded to give me a lecture on the overuse of anti biotics and how people come in expecting them willy nilly because I merely asked them to check my chest was ok after having a bad cough for over 4 weeks.

I’ve had anti biotics approx 3 times in my whole life and never even mentioned them!

Another time my baby had bad reflux and would violently vomit every single time he was fed.

I saw 3 different drs who all treated me like a neurotic mother and kept telling me “all babies were sick” and when I explained that I knew this as I have another child they were very dismissive!

They kept saying his weights fine there’s not a problem.

Of course his weight was fine because he’d be sick and i’d have to feed him again as he was still hungry!

His cry became hoarse from the acid constantly coming up and they only eventually helped me when the midwife got involved.

On the whole I find them all extremely patronising they all talk down to you, they hate it if you bother to do any research yourself which is ridiculous!

And they only seem to help or listen to you if you go in there and have an attitude with them, if you’re polite, as I was brought up, they dismiss you and don’t listen.

I am really sorry to hear that you didn’t feel your concerns were understood.

I will feed this back to our clinical staff.

It is sometimes the case that medication is not indicated or appropriate for a set of symptoms.

It can be a challenge to explain this clearly, ensuring patients understand the reasons for treatment decisions, without in some cases making the patient feel patronised.

I am sorry we did not manage to get the balance right in your case.
