I was sent to the urgent care facility by 111. The nurse was very kind. She got me in early enough to catch my bus because she was worried I'd be stranded. The doctor, however, was very condescending. He basically laughed at me for being there, even though I'd pretty much forced by 111 to go there within 2 hours of the phone call. He asked me why I was there and told me that there was nothing wrong with me, even though I'd been coughing for 3 weeks. He acted as though I was overreacting, even though I had just explained that I had spoken to 111 to get an appointment at a walk-in for the following day and they had urged me to go in within hours. I found it rude, condescending and unhelpful. I will now be going to a pharmacy to see if they are more helpful than the actual doctor at a hospital. Even the nurse said it would be a good idea to have further explanation on why I was coughing so much.
