"She's been an amazing help"

About: Inclusion Visions Thurrock (Drug & Alcohol Recovery Service)

(as a service user),

I was very nervous about approaching Inclusion. I'd just accepted that I had an alcohol problem, I had an initial meeting with Helen, who became my key worker. I didn't know what to expect really but from that first meeting, I felt I could trust her, be honest with her and feel helped - not judged, She's been an amazing help and her advice has supported me, especially when I'm craving or down,

The groups are very friendly, the drop in's feel natural and relaxed. It is not all "preachy" or "judgy" - everyone is approachable.

❤️ Thank you all so much x x

Dear lupusew67

Thank you for sharing your story and it's very good to hear that your experience has been so positive. It's not easy at all acknowledging you have a problem and particularly coming in to the service for the first time....takes courage.

It's also good to hear that you're using groups and drop ins in addition to your keywork sessions, making full use of the support on offer. I will of course pass on your feedback to Helen and the team including the volunteers who run the drop in.

Take care and I wish you all the best in your recovery journey

Emer
