"Diabetes - Brucie Day"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Endocrinology and Diabetes

(as a service user),

I recently attended a Brucie day with the diabetic dietician Pamela.  I have been diabetic type 1 for 20 years and it is unbelievable the changes that can occur without being made aware.  This was a great day for being told of these changes in order to have better control of my diabetes.  The day also consisted of learning how to carb count which again has helped improve my blood sugars.  If you get the opportunity to attend one of these days I would highly recommend it.  Pamela is very helpful and attentive.  Follow up phone calls and further appointments that doesn’t have an impact on busy lives but helps tweak things to further improve sugar levels.

Thank you so much David. Also as a SlimmingWorld Consultant as Diabetes Uk backs the plan it helps my members with Type 1 or Type 2, helps them lose weight thus reducing their medication. It’s a ‘win win’ situation. Can’t praise Pamela and the Diabetic team at Crosshouse Hospital enough.
