In June 2018 I visited Lincoln County Hospital clinic 11 orthopaedics ( referred by my GP) as I was in a lot of pain with my left shoulder. Since then I have been referred to other departments within the orthopaedic section and now after a further visit to orthopaedic outpatients department on Monday, I have been referred for a scan, appointment to follow.
I am still in a lot of pain, cannot lift items with my left-arm and feel there is no sense of urgency at the hospital outpatients department at all.. I am now five months down the line and no further forward with treatment for my problem.
Apparently the scan is to check the severity of the muscle/tendon tear. So in essence I’m back to where I was 5 months ago, what a complete joke.A follow up appointment has been made for January 2019, I gather this is to check if anything else has been tried to eliminate the pain in my shoulder. We will then be 7 months on from my initial appointment!I feel this is totally unacceptable, the degree of urgency shown is pitiful and just reinforces my view that the NHS is completely broken.
