The service was, I believe unparalelled. I am now pregnant again, but moving to West London, and honestly am thinking about not moving just so that I can have the home birth team again. I had one main midwife, 'E', whom I genuinely came to have such fond feelings for she felt like a friend, and so knowledgeable, I felt so confident in her hands. And when I was in labour I really just wanted everyone to go away, but I still felt happy she was there - amazing. I saw other midwives from the Grove, too, so you get to know everyone and I couldn't have felt more taken care of, and then when I gave birth at home one of the midwives actually called up the radio station to ask which song was playing when my daughter popped out (it was the adverts!), but nonetheless, this is going beyond the job description.
Fantastic. If you are low risk, go homebirth.
