First of all I would like to add that on entering ward 44, I couldn’t believe exactly how busy the ward is. But I soon found out that this didn’t falter my care whatsoever. The nursing staff are A+ and deserve medals. I am an anxious person and worry about a lot of things, which most people would find to be trivial. After only being on the ward a couple of hours I immediately felt comfortable and less anxious. My nurse who was Claire introduced herself and put her name and my nursing auxiliary’s name on the board in my room. Claire said if I needed anything to press my buzzer and leane or herself would assist me. All I can say is both nurses work competently as a team and really made my stay (I was only on 2 days), a stress free and comfortable 2 days. Although the ward is clearly busy and sometimes a bit chaotic, I can honestly say that I’m no way did this affect how both nurses came into my room to assist me. I was always greeted with a smile and nothing was too much bother for them. Credit where credit is due. Thankyou.
