"An absolute shambles"

About: Haxby Group Hull

I am an old age pensioner with some serious medical problems, my doctor has repeatedly informed me that I am in the category of very high at risk of a hart attack or stroke and with my other health problems my monthly repeat medication is vital but again my monthly repeat medication was wrong, this month when I went to the surgery to collect my prescriptions the whole lot of prescriptions where missing, this time they stated they had printed my prescription forms at Orchard Park Surgery, that surgery is not mine, I have never used that surgery and is miles away from my surgery at Kingswood, I informed the staff member that I had no way to get to Orchard Park and with more prompting from myself she looked on the computer again, this time after consulting with other staff members she stated they had lost them. After various discussions she stated she could print them again, I stated that last month 124 tabs where missing off the prescription I informed her that I had been prescribed 224 of these tabs per month for the last 15 years and I asked if they had corrected their error this month informing her that I had previously reported to them their error but low and behold they had not rectified their mistake, I find this is pare for the course with them, after I got the staff member to investigate they stated the computer was making the repeated mistake ???. I was then informed I would have to come back again later that day for the prescriptions after a doctor had signed them. I rang the surgery the next day to make sure they where ready for collection, I was informed they where signed and ready to collect, my wife who is almost 70 and bad on here leg walked all the way to the surgery to collect them, upon her arrival she was told they where not ready, upon her wasted journey again to the surgery and her arrival back home I immediately rang the surgery and was told they where ready but the staff member my wife spoke to had her facts wrong. Almost every month there are problems with my repeat medication, there does not seem to be any checks made on the staff members and the problems seem to get worse. The doctors and nurses are great but the surgery seems to be constantly let down by the unchecked office staff.
