"Disgusting attitude"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Dermatology

Attended clinic today to see one of the doctors, who was not there due to sickness. However, I was not made aware of this, and was called into the treatment room, only to find that another doctor was going to perform the procedure. I have previously stated that I never wanted to see him again, due to a previous appointment, where he was extremely rude, and hurt me during the treatment. When I was in the room, there was a female hca. He then entered and told me abruptly to "move your bag", which I had put on the floor, as there is nowhere else to put it. He then said are you pregnant or breast feeding, I replied oh goodness me no, to which he snapped back "I have to ask". He then told me to take my clothes off whilst he was in the room. I told him that wasn't appropriate as he was still in the room, but he said that the hca was there so what's the problem. I told him to leave the room as I didn't feel comfortable, so eventually he left the room. Due to his attitude and the way he spoke to me, I was too upset to have the procedure performed. I was asked by another nurse to speak to him, but I said that I had nothing to say. I was told that after my first traumatic experience with him that a note would be attached to my records stating that fact.

I have never had an issue with the other doctor, he has been most courteous, kind and professional. He always put me at ease and I never found the process dreadful, unlike with the doctor I saw. I am totally disgusted and frustrated that I was not informed that the doctor I had been booked with was not available, it wasted my time and petrol money. I work for the NHS, so it wasted work time also.
