"I cannot praise enough the prompt care I was given"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I was admitted late last week with a blocked artery and I cannot praise enough the prompt care I was given. Also in the coronary care ward where the care was excellent. The only thing that went wrong was when I was waiting to be discharged from ward 9 was that I had to wait about five hours for my prescription. I cannot blame the nursing staff for this but I think it should be looked into as, usually, you have had to give up your bed for someone else. Saying that I want to say a huge thank you for all my care.

Dear Heart Sorted

Thank you for your feedback that you have posted on the care opinion website about our cardiology service. I will inform the teams responsible of your post and I know they will be delighted to know that you described the care as both prompt and excellent. I am sorry to learn you had such a long wait for your prescription and I am happy to look into this further to see if there is any learning that can be identified from this. If you could contact our patient affairs department on 01355 585325 they will take more specific details to allow us to do this.

Wishing you all the best as you continue to recover

Kirsty
