"Colonoscopy appointment error"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Endoscopy

(as a relative),

My wife had a colonoscopy three weeks ago, as it was not successful, She received written  information  on discharge to be  re-admitted for an overnight stay in the first week of November 2018. to date  she has not received any notification.

I went to the department yesterday for an update only to be told that the date for admission was a ''computer error'' and that she would not be seen until early NEXT year!

This is totally unacceptable , how many other people are sitting at home, waiting for admission dates given that will not materialise due to a ''computer error''!

Normally I write letter of thanks to the wards when my wife has been in for various treatments, but this fiasco , I just cannot tolerate.
