Thank you very much for taking the time to get back to us about your experience in ward A11.

I am glad that there is more positive than negative up there however am concerned by your mention of poor staff attitudes and feeling unhappy with your future plans.

We try very hard as a team to ensure that any and all decisions that are made regarding future plans, are made with your full input and understanding. These decisions aren't always easy and often require a long period of assessment and many conversations with our patients and their relatives. It seems that we could be doing better in terms of communicating these decisions and assessments. I'll make sure and feed this back to the team.

We don't very often have negative feedback around staff attitudes, and without specific information, this can be quite difficult to address. I would always encourage our service users and their relatives to come and see me, or another senior member of the team, if they had any concerns with attitudes so that we can address them immediately.

I notice that you have felt positive about the nursing and care staff so can only assume that the attitudes you are referring to came from outwith the nursing team. If you, or your family, have any further concerns, please speak to our patient relations team.
