I telephoned for an appointment as I had lost one hearing aid and my other stopped working. I was offered an appointment the following day.
I was seen promptly by a lady who was friendly, and quickly efficient. I was supplied with both a replacement hearing aid and the other was mended.
I was astonished by the quick way my problem was addressed particularly as I had 5 visitors staying overnight two days later and was very worried I would not hear efficiently during their visit, though I did not explain this during my appointment.
I know how much pressure the NHS are under but wish to sing the praises of the care I received from this hospital in general where, I regret, I have need to visit in many departments. My experiences with all these departments has been exceptionally caring and of highest quality.
I wish to congratulate the hospital in general and the audiology department in particular. Please thank them from me.
P.S. my weekend went very well with their help!
