I had an appointment in main outpatients.
So I turn up nice and early and as there are no seats free I stand and lean against the wall.
45 minutes later I am still standing and leaning against the wall.
Any seats that become free are immediately taken by younger, fitter people than me.
Nobody cares about the sick old man leaning against the wall.
The staff don't see me because they are too busy chatting to their colleagues and looking at the computer screen.
My back is now aching, my old legs are aching and I am feeling depressed about the whole thing.
So I go home.
The staff are only concerned about their own situation, not about the comfort of patients otherwise they would have seen me standing there and helped me to find a seat.
The experience was like being in a third world railway station.
Nobody saw me in discomfort, no staff opened their simple eyes, nobody cares.
