"I would and do recommend hydrotherapy to anyone"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics (wards 21-23)

(as a service user),

I was referred to the hydrotherapy service in Royal Alexandria Hospital by my physiotherapist at the  Queen Elizabeth Hospital Glasgow as she felt this would be beneficial in improving the mobility in my hip.

At point of referral I was on several painkillers.

My walking was restricted due to the pain, and my mood was low.

I have attended hydrotherapy on an weekly basis for several weeks and I am  very pleased to say not only has my mobility and mood improved but also my reliance on pain killers greatly reduced.

This  has had a very positive impact on my life  and I am hopeful that my improved mobility will delay the need for a hip replacement.

I enjoy attending the sessions and I find the staff are all friendly, helpful and very supportive.

I would and do recommend hydrotherapy to anyone who is in pain and has restricted movement.
