"Exemplary care and consideration"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services / Urology

(as a service user),

In late 2016 I was diagnosed with kidney cancer requiring the removal of my left kidney. From the initial diagnosis through my surgery and ongoing aftercare, I have been treated with exemplary care and consideration by the Urology department

I would particularly mention my consultant Mr Ginepri and my cancer nurse Loretta. Short all of Mr Ginepri team have been marvellous during this worrying time.

Thank you for your very kind words. I will ensure that Mr Ginepri and Loretta see your post and share it with the whole team. We have an award scheme at the hospital where staff can be nominated for a compassion in care award. If you would like to nominate them you can contact our PALS department through switchboard and they will ensure you have the correct form.

Great to hear you are getting on so well,

Dilly Wilkinson, Deputy Director of Nursing
