"Out patients appointment"

About: United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust

(as a service user),

I attended a recent OPA

At the appointment the consultant didn't have up to date information regards recent investigation or complaints. I was continuing to experience symptoms I initially attended to get resolved.  I also have a condition that requires monitoring and managing the symptoms I attended with are a guideline to prevent an increased risk of it developing into a cancer.

I didn't feel listened to by the doctor as whatever I said led to being given a leaflet to manage IBS. This is not what I attended with.

I also found this slightly patronising and dismissive of any concerns I have

Since the appointment,  over 6 weeks ago I have requested a copy of my letter to be told they're behind due to sickness and leave and my letter wasn't in the urgent tapes. I appreciate that the NHS is under resourced and the hospital I attended is struggling but the whole experience has decreased my confidence even more that they are able to offer successful support and treatment

This situation leaves me in awful doubt about my prognosis
